Fast Words is the timed reading of word lists to help improve fluency. Writing is composed of 6 activities, with most activities lasting between 5-10 minutes. Oral drill is the first activity and is a quick oral check-in or quiz on what the student has learned. Oral spelling is an opportunity for students to phonetically break down spelling words that have been difficult for them and to spell them orally. Written spelling contains words that have patterns that allow a student to practice the rules of spelling. Handwriting Keyboarding Skills are also practiced daily to reinforce skills that are used daily in most job settings. Each day students are given 15-20 minutes of work time which includes creative writing, writing for a purpose, sentence building, paragraph development, and grammar lessons.

Math is composed of 5 activities, with most activities lasting between 5-10 minutes. Oral drill is the first activity and is a quick oral check-in or quiz on what the student has learned. Math Fast is composed of basic math skills as quick one minute timed tests. Number Dictation and Reading builds students' number reading skills as well as their ability to write numbers that are read to them. Problem Copying involves different skills than solving problems and allows students to focus on one task at a time.
